OMTrak has been chosen as the platform to collect handover documentation for the $1.9 B Los Angeles World Airport – Tom Bradley International Terminal. The new Terminal and Gates project is utilizing BIM and will incorporate a complete digital handover minimizing the hard copy documentation while improving the usability of the vast amount of information. This will significantly reduce the risk and cost for ongoing airport operations compared to conventional hard copy handover. The project adds 1.2 million square feet, doubling the size of the existing terminal. The new 18 gates are designed to accommodate next generation aircraft such as the Airbus A380. The terminal spans more than half a mile and contains enough steel to build 5 Eiffel Towers! Phase I is due to open early 2013.
