OMTrak has been specified by Omran to deliver major projects and manage tourism assets and investments for all phases of the Oman Conference and Exhibition Centre. This will be the centrepiece of the Al-Irfan urban development project in Oman, creating a new downtown area for the Muscat capital district. The new city will be located on a site extending to over 7.4 million square metres, with strategic links to the nearby Muscat International Airport and the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC).

Omran is a tourism-related development, hospitality management and investment company mandated by the Government of Oman.

Due for completion in late 2016, the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre is located in its own fully-integrated precinct only four kilometres from Muscat International Airport. The Precinct will provide the infrastructure necessary to host successful international, regional and national conventions, exhibitions and business events. The Precinct will include a five star hotel linked to the convention centre, two four star hotels, and a three star hotel plus apartments with a combined total of 1,000 rooms. A business park and retail shopping mall, surrounded by a nature reserve which will be a haven for Oman’s exotic birdlife, parklands, and wadi (valley) park are also part of this picturesque precinct. The new Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre is set to become an iconic landmark for Muscat and the Sultanate of Oman. Carillion Alawi are using OMTrak Manuals module for Package 2, Exhibition Centre.

OMTrak has also been chosen by regional broadcaster MOBY for Phase 1 of a Data Centre to be built in Kabul, Afghanistan. MOBY are using the full functionality of OMTrak’s Document, Manuals and Siteworks modules for the full project lifecycle.
